Welcome to IntuitiveHeal, I'm so glad you stopped by. For those of you who've visited before, you'll notice my old content is gone and I'm starting with a fresh look and new material which better represents my evolution and experience. The biggest change is that I'm now practicing the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu®. This adds a lovely form to the intuitive healing work I've been doing the past few years. Jin Shin Jyutsu® (pronounced "Gin Shin Jute-Sue") is a complex art involving lifelong learning and development which appeals both to my intellectual and intuitive sides. This art is a Japanese form of acupressure, which is similar to acupuncture but doesn't involve needles.

  • What does Jin Shin Jyutsu® address?

  • It's an all-encompassing healing modality that addresses anything body, mind, and/or spirit-related. In JSJ, there is great emphasis on cause and effect and during sessions we'll likely focus on both the cause and effect of whatever you might be experiencing. That is not to say this is a linear process; as in life, there are likely to always be aspects we never understand mentally. Jin Shin Jyutsu® is all about harmony so that is the guiding principle for each session - transforming disharmony to harmony.

  • What is a Jin Shin Jyutsu® session like?

  • Initially we discuss what projects you are working on. During a session you are fully clothed, lie on your back on a massage table, and receive various "flows" based on what you've described and observations I make when I read your pulses. A flow consists of a series of points on the body where the practitioner's hands are placed. I might have one hand on a particular toe and another behind the knee, for example, until those points harmonize with one another. The hand placements then change based on what the flow specifies. You don't need to know any of this, though, you just relax and enjoy the process. Most sessions have an immediate effect of relaxation although it depends upon what the focus was - you could end up energized or notice energy moving in your body. While the immediate effect tends to be pleasant, the emphasis is on restoring harmony so the effects of the session are intended to extend well beyond your hour on the table.

  • What else can a client do to feel better?

  • After each session, I'll provide self-help suggestions you can do at home while watching TV, laying in bed, or wherever it's convenient. These suggestions will be based on what was addressed during your session.

I hope I can share this wonderful healing art with you. Please let me know if there's anything at all I can do for you.

Best wishes for your health and well-being,
Christy L. Johnson, Ph.D.
